The HFTP Greater Philadelphia Chapter proudly presents the 30th Annual “Swinging for Scholars” Golf Outing, taking place on Monday, August 10, 2026 at the beautiful Radley Run Country Club in West Chester, PA. This annual event brings together hospitality professionals, business partners, and community supporters for a day of golf, networking, dining, and philanthropy — all in support of scholarships for deserving students pursuing degrees in Hospitality Management, Finance, and Technology.
Over the past fifteen years, the tournament has raised more than $115,000 for student scholarships, helping invest in the future of the hospitality industry. In addition to sponsorship and golf opportunities, attendees and supporters are encouraged to contribute silent auction and raffle items, including gift certificates, sports or entertainment tickets, golf packages, and promotional items. Whether you join us on the course, sponsor the event, or donate an auction item, your support directly impacts the next generation of industry leaders.

Since 1995, the Greater Philadelphia chapter has provided scholarship funds to recognize and support local university students studying in related fields such as accounting, business, finance, hospitality, technology or management. Our annual Swinging for Scholars golf outing is an actively and generously supported event by which our chapter raises the funds needed towards this initiative.
Students from Penn State University, The University of Delaware and Temple University have been past beneficiaries, with some recipients having since gone on to successful careers here in the immediate Greater Philadephia chapter region.
The awards are presented annually at a function sponsored by the chapter.
